Rise Up Alameda

Rise Up Alameda is a two-year guaranteed income pilot program aimed at providing $1,000 per month to 150 low-income households in Alameda. The program is expected to launch in late summer or early fall of 2023. The primary goals of Rise Up Alameda are to reduce economic instability for participants, shift local narratives and perceptions surrounding poverty and public benefits, and contribute to the broader conversation on effective anti-poverty policies. The program will randomly select 150 participants who are 18 years of age or older, residents of the City of Alameda, and have a household income at or below 50 percent of the Area Median Income.
